About Hitohira

Hitohira is a personality quiz platform built around a warm, healing aesthetic. The name is inspired by the Japanese phrase komorebi — the dappled sunlight that filters through leaves, fleeting and beautiful, inviting you to pause. We believe that self-discovery can feel exactly like that: gentle, non-judgmental, and tinged with a little wonder.

Where We Started

Hitohira began with a question: why do most personality quizzes either feel too clinical (dense jargon, five-point Likert scales) or too throwaway (a handful of emoji and a one-line result)? We wanted the middle ground — genuine reflection delivered in a warm tone, paired with original result cards worth sharing.

What We Do

We design and publish handcrafted personality quizzes. Every question is reviewed by a human editor, and every result comes with original artwork. The scoring engine underneath is built for entertainment and self-exploration — not psychological diagnosis or any officially validated clinical tool.

One Engine, Many Themes

Hitohira's technical architecture follows an "engine once, reskin many" philosophy: a shared scoring logic core paired with swappable themes, copy, and artwork. Each quiz has its own visual identity, result write-ups, and share cards, giving every experience a distinct atmosphere while maintaining consistent quality standards underneath.

Human Review Guarantee

Whether content is drafted with AI assistance or written entirely by hand, every quiz question and result write-up goes through a human editorial review before publishing. Our editorial policy requires that we never use officially licensed IP artwork, that result bodies meet a minimum word count, and that we make no clinical or medical diagnosis claims.

Our Mission

To give people a moment — in between scrolling — where a quiz leaves them feeling a little more understood, a little more curious about themselves. That's it. We think that's already worth doing.
