Privacy Policy
Hitohira offers online quizzes without requiring an account. This notice explains how this version uses data and how to contact us.
1. Answers and public results
Quizzes are scored in your browser. Individual answers are used only for the current page; they are not written to site cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage, or sent to the completion-count database. Result descriptions are public pages whose URLs contain a result code. They do not include your name or individual answers and are not personal profiles. People receiving a link or screenshot can see the result content you choose to share.
2. Completion counts
When completion counting is enabled, your browser sends the site a quiz identifier and a freshly generated random identifier that prevents duplicate requests from being counted twice. The request contains no answers, result code, account or persistent user identifier, and sends neither cookies nor a referring page URL. Public figures represent recorded completions since the feature was enabled, including retakes. They are not unique people or lifetime site totals.
The counter stores each quiz's aggregate total and start time, plus a hash of the random identifier and a receipt time for duplicate prevention. Duplicate-prevention records older than 24 hours are cleared during subsequent processing; aggregate counts have no automatic expiry. To limit excessive requests, the service reads the connection IP and derives a date-varying hash for short-window rate limits held in runtime memory. It does not write raw IP addresses to the completion database.
3. Website operation and service providers
Cloudflare provides delivery and security services for the site. Opening a page or contacting the counter requires Cloudflare to process connection information such as an IP address, request URL and other technical metadata. This does not mean quiz answers are uploaded. Platform logs and processing depend on the service configuration and Cloudflare's policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ .
4. Analytics, advertising and storage
This version does not activate Google Analytics, a Google Tag Manager container or AdSense advertising scripts, and has no active direct sponsorship. The site retains a consent mechanism for optional analytics: if Google Tag Manager is enabled later, it applies only to non-result pages, with relevant tags controlled through consent settings. This notice will be updated before services are enabled. An earlier consent choice may remain in browser localStorage; see the Cookie Policy. We do not provide quiz answers or results to brands as advertising audience data.
5. Contact and your choices
Emailing us provides your sender address and the content you include. We use this to reply or discuss collaboration and retain correspondence in our contact mailbox. You can ask about data use or request access, correction or deletion under the rules applicable to your location. We will respond based on the data actually held and applicable requirements. Deleting browser data does not automatically delete previously sent emails or service-provider records.

External fonts
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends the requests and connection information needed to retrieve those files to Google’s font service. This is separate from whether analytics or advertising is enabled. Font requests do not include your individual answers.
The first-party hitohira:lang cookie remembers the language most recently viewed. Its expiry is reset to 1 year (365 days) whenever a localized page opens. The root homepage uses this preference first when choosing a language; the actual page language remains determined by its URL. This cookie contains no answers or results.
