Privacy Policy
Hitohira ("the Site") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect
The Site collects anonymous, aggregated usage data through Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager), including page views, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location (country or region level only). We do not collect any directly identifiable personal information such as your name, email address, or precise IP address. Google Analytics 4 masks IP addresses by default.
2. Cookie Usage
The Site uses the following categories of cookies:
- Necessary cookies: These maintain basic site functionality such as your language preference and stored consent status. They do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics 4 to count page views and measure usage patterns. Activated only after you provide consent.
- Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense to display advertisements. Activated only after you provide consent.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings banner on the Site.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
The Site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Before you express any preference, access to all analytics and advertising cookies defaults to "denied." Google receives only modeled (cookieless) data in this state. Cookies are activated only once you choose to accept, and personalized advertising is enabled only if you explicitly grant that permission.
4. Quiz Result Protection
We never use your quiz results, personality type, or any psychological label for ad audience targeting or high-cardinality analytics. Result page URLs are automatically scrubbed before being sent to Google Analytics 4: the type code is replaced (for example, /result/INFP/ becomes /result/_/), ensuring that your personality type never enters advertising or analytics systems.
5. Data Retention and Sharing
Google Analytics 4 retains anonymous, aggregated data for 14 months by default. We do not sell, rent, or lend your personal data to any third party. Google acts as a data processor; their privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in EU countries) and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe the Site may have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
7. EU User Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to restrict or object to certain processing. Because the Site does not proactively collect identifiable personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by clearing your browser cookies. For further assistance, please contact us via the Contact page.
8. Policy Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and post a prominent notice. Please check back periodically.
9. Contact Us
