Sometimes you don't need to offer another angle right away — just ask if they want to keep going, and curiosity can stay in the same conversation. Give curiosity a small outlet
Write down three things you've wanted to ask lately, and pick just one to spend ten minutes actually looking into. When it's over, note down one detail you actually learned, instead of trying to collect a whole page of them. Giving a question a chance to be answered, then deciding whether to follow up, tends to leave you with more real understanding than touching every direction at once.
